~~ New Job ~~

Hi, everyone! The time has now come to talk about my new job! I’m so excited to tell you about how I came to get this exciting new start in a job I have not much experience in!

So a bit of backlog, I’d been at WHSmith on the M62 for two years! I started back in 2014 and I was a timid girl that wanted to keep to herself. During my time there, I opened up so much and was more relaxed in having a job. I felt like I knew what I was doing when I got to work etc. But until recently I got a little tired of the same day in and day out kind of work, even though I was only doing two days a week. It bored me. But I still enjoyed working there.

I then decided to look for job vacancies around where I live, so I started looking on Indeed.co.uk / and was looking for places to work in these areas:

Brighouse, Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford.

And as always, there wasn’t really anywhere hiring where I was looking. It sucked.

I then took a punt and searched in Leeds, and low and behold I found a new shopping center opening up. I took a look to see what shops were hiring there and I came across one for Anthropologie. Now I’d heard of this store before but I knew that it wasn’t anywhere that I could get to frequently. I believe the closest really, is in London. I live like far away from London (obvs) / However, I decided to go for it, and I soon applied for a job with their company.

A day later, I got an email asking to go for an interview. I was really shocked. I literally had no idea what to say. I replied back saying YES! I was really over the moon with this but also really scared.

For the interview, I wore a mustard turtleneck jumper from Urban Outfitters, I then wore these black overalls from New Look, and I wore these quirky socks that I bought in Japan and for shoes, I wore my very pastel trainers. I also wore my Forest Green and Pink Kanken. I didn’t really feel like I dressed for their store, however, I dressed to show my style and that it was fun and really unique.

Pictures of my interview outfit:

20160615_084914 <– I basically wore this black ‘overall’ with the mustard jumper, these trainers, and my kanken 🙂

I then had like the most agonizing wait ever. I was filled with paranoia, to be honest. I felt so nervous if I hadn’t gotten the job. Then a few days later I received an email saying that I had got the job etc. I was so happy. Honestly, I cannot wait to start working there and I love their homeware section. I mean I love their clothes and shoes, but their homeware give me life!

To be honest, I don’t really know the entire purpose of this post, however, it is something new in my life, and I thought I would share that with you! Also, if you planning on going to an interview for Anthro, just be your charming self and wear clothes you feel comfortable in. That’s what’s more important!

Bye Guys!

~~ FOX AND STAR – ORDER ~~

The other day I was googling Washi Tapes, for my bullet journal, I came across many a website and I couldn’t decide which particular website to purchase from. Then I came across The Fox and Star (www.thefoxandstar.co.uk) they had many tapes that I was so desperate to buy. But I composed myself and I ordered two things from their website. These were some 2-way pastel pens and one washi tape.

These pastel pens are 2-ways are called Le Stylo Feutre – created by Iconic. This just means that they have 2 sides, one thick and thin nib. The washi tape is from the brand MT (Japanese) and the tape I purchased was called Label Watercolour. Altogether this order came to £14.15, which I think is pretty darn good, I’m a major sucker for stationery and I could’ve bought so much more.

Overall I’m really impressed with the website, I ordered these products on the 16th September and I just received them today so 4 days waiting I think is pretty good for an order. The brand is based in Edinburgh and I think that they 4-day wait is worth it.

Below are the images of the products 🙂

~~ Apps I love, and use ~~

Tonight’s gonna be a really chilled out blog post. I’m sat on my bed staring out at the beautiful moon, whilst Joe is playing on his PC (Miscreated if you were wondering) – and I thought let’s create a blog post, a short blog post, then I thought what could I possibly blog about so late at night? Then it hit me, I’ll create a simple post on the Apps that I use on my smartphone day to day.

My current phone is the Samsung S6 Edge, so it’s an android powered device. When I unlock my phone I see the ‘desktop’ of my phone and I don’t really use these apps, I just keep forgetting to get rid of them from the desktop off of my phone.

SOCIAL:

Typically I really enjoy going onto FaceBook, it’s terrible how often I can just scroll through FaceBook and not be bored. I also go onto Instagram and Snapchat quite regularly. I also like to have the WordPress app, as I like to keep tabs on how my blog is doing day-to-day and keep an eye on my stats.

Not entirely social, but I have to have Spotify on my phone, I need them workout playlists for whever I need a boost. Especially at Uni!

MINI-GAMES:

The main app that I use from this section, however, is Viridi. It’s basically a little succulent that grows in real time on your phone. I like this as I think it’s a rather cute app. I also have a succulent in real life so I suppose it’s a what’s the point app? But I think it’s rather sweet.

The app Stack is a really good engaging game! It’s so good. Seriously if after reading and looking at the images Stack should really be your go too game.

HEALTH:

I really like to use the S Health app, I like to know how many steps I’m doing a day and recording down how much sleep I get. It sounds really laborious, however, I really like it and I like to know I’m doing.

For my health-related apps, I use quite a few for when it comes to that time of the month. I use roughly two-three as they each offer very different things. These are: Once, and EVE.

For relaxtion, I use two apps. Headspace, and Calm they are both similar but I like to switch it up between the two.

Even though this app isn’t really ‘Health’ related, it’s very good for staying focused. I use this mostly for Uni work, but it’s very relaxing and a really good app. You basically set a time for how much work you want to get done, and it’ll get a little shrub or a tree depending on how long you set it for. This app is called Forest.

CAMERA:

For camera based apps I love VSCO it’s so beautiful and I love the effects that you can put onto your pictures. I was so happy when this came out onto Android!

SHOPPING:

Shopping apps are by far my favourite type of app to have on your phone! I’m a total shop-aholic and I love using these apps, Wanelo, DEPOP, and ASOS. I also gotta have my Subcard app on my phone too!

~~ KYLIE JENNER BIRTHDAY EDITION CREME SHADOWS ~~

GUYZZZZ

I managed to get the Kylie Jenner Birthday Edition Creme Shadows! I was so happy! I was waiting for ages on the website, even got my boyfriend to help me out! I missed it the first time she put out the collection and I wasn’t happy!

The second time around, however, I managed to get my hands on them!

I’m not gonna lie though the wait for them to arrive to me was insane. I think it was like 3 weeks?? I remember purchasing them on the 5th of August. I believe they came to me like last week or so. CRAZYYYY

However, I’m happy that they are now in my possession.

I got both creme shadows, in Rose Gold and Copper and I LOVE THEM!

I haven’t worn them yet as like I said I’ve been super busy and I haven’t been wearing makeup lately. However, I’ll basically describe how I think the shadows are with swatches and just give a little bit as to what I think that the shadows are like 🙂

If you haven’t been lucky enough to purchase anything from Kylie Cosmetics due to everything being sold out in seconds I feel you, the packaging for the box is plain on the outside as I think she had some problems with people stealing what’s inside the boxes due to having her signature Kylie and with the drips on the box. So she changed it around so that the logo with the drips are now on the inside of the box.

Upon opening and seeing obviously the Kylie name in silver and the drips in white, I noticed a thick piece of foam which was to protect the contents of the package which I really liked. I liked knowing that my products were safe in the little foam bed.

I also received an invoice with my details, etc of the package where it was shipped from etc. All that stuff you don’t really wanna see.

Upon peeling back the foam, there it was. The two beautiful babies. In GORGEOUS packaging (I’m a sucker for good packaging).

I really liked having a card that obviously Kylie had written then printed out loads of the same thing. I just wished it was maybe a little more personal. That she writes on the cards or writes the name who’s receiving the package it so it’s a little more personal.

However, that’s gonna take a lot of time and effort and I don’t think she’d really be down for doing all that.  I’m not dissing the card or anything I like that touch of her even doing a card, I think it would be nice to have like something written from her on these cards.

Now for the pièce de résistance, the beautiful creme shadows.

These bad boys are HEAVY. Like seriously, for a little pot of eyeshadow, I didn’t expect it to be that heavy. Like gurl what is in there? Maybe it is all the gold that’s apparently in these things.

So if you don’t know what colours she brought out for her birthday collection, they are Rose Gold and Copper. I knew, I knew I had to at least get Rose Gold. It looks so goddamn perfect. Like yasss honey!

Like I haven’t even taken these pots out of their packaging yet, help me. WHY?! They too daarn pretty that’s why. But for today’s post. I need too.

COPPER:

I am in awe. Honestly, this pot of eyeshadow makes me want to cry. It is beautiful. The gold packaging is everything! The gold lid to the gold Kylie font it’s perfect. You cannot fault that. The style of this gold does remind me of Kylie and I love that. The angles from the pot itself make the eyeshadow look beautiful and bronze and lush.

I am won over by this eyeshadow. It’s sublime.

I think my only negative so far is the smell of them. They reek. I’m trying to think of what they smell like however, I cannot put a name to the smell. I think it’s like plastic? It’s weird but it’s eyeshadow, it’s gonna be going on my eyelids so I really don’t care what it smells like.

All I’m bothered about is if it looks good and I’m thoroughly impressed by Copper. I think that Rose Gold is just gonna my cry.

Rose Gold:

OH MY GOD. I LOVE ROSE GOLD. HELP ME

Okay, so straight off again the glass pot makes the eyeshadow POP. Literally all of the above also applies for Rose Gold.

The gold top of the pot is perfect. The colour of the eyeshadow (Rose Gold) is perfect. To me, it’s the perfect shade of a rose gold. I cannot wait to use this with my Venus Palette from Lime Crime. I think that these two products will mesh so well together and create a lovely eye I’m stunned.

The same again goes for the smell, smells like plastic but again, it’s going to be on my eyes and I doubt I will smell that…

So yeah that was my little post about the Kylie Creme shadows. I love them. I think you can create many versatile looks with eyes and I’m really excited to use them.

I love Rose Gold, I think that will probably run out before Copper. But they both unique and beautiful.

Thanks King Kylie

xoxo

~~ Blush and LUSH ~~

Sorry this one’s rather late, I kinda forgot to blog about these things when I got them.

The other day when I was with Eleanor we went into town and I purchased a new vinyl. It was Moose Blood’s new album* called BLUSH. It’s a totally rad album and so cute and peppy. I lurve it. But most of all I love that it’s pastel pink! My vinyl cost me £14.99 and that’s pretty darn good so I was pleased. Also, the vinyl is coloured, obvs again, it’s pastel pink and totally gorgeous.

Then as a treat Joe bought me two lush products for one of our monthly anniversaries, lol we’re lame. But yeah, he got me the Candy Floss Showder, and The Guardians of the Forest bath bomb. Totally excuse the pun, lush! I totally love Lush. I think one day I should do a lush haul post for you guys as I own soooo much. It’s crazy.

If you would like to see a lush haul post of all the lush things I own that like this post and I’ll see what I can do!

I used the showder a few days ago and it’s beaut. Honestly, like I smelt so sickly sweet it was so good! I just couldn’t stop smelling my shoulders and hands.

I’m sorry this was like a tiny blog post but I am saving a good post for tomorrow guys, so keep your eyes peeled on my blog!

It may have to do with a certain celebrity sisters birthday at the beginning of the month, if that gives you a hint 😉 Also, it’s very Kute…

Here are my pictures below

~~ White Out ~~

Hi, guys! I’m back with another post! Yesterday my mum, me and Joe went shopping to White Rose. I wasn’t really planning on buying much just maybe a few things from a few certain shops.

We first went into Zara and I saw two things that I really liked. One was a yellow slinky dress, the other was a blue and cream strapless jumpsuit. This particular outfit just didn’t really fit right and wasn’t too keen in the end. The yellow dress, however, was beautiful! I think it was £27.99 / not sure but I really liked it, however, I just couldn’t see me wearing it.

Then we moved onto other shops, like Lush and even there I couldn’t find anything to buy! Joe asked the ladies if they had the Guardians of the Forest, bath bomb. However, they did not. They said you can only buy that in Oxford Street or online. As that bath bomb is £4.25.

I moved onto Topshop and Joe went to look in Topman. I was more so just looking at the sale items, as they have a bigger store than in Huddersfield. I saw some beautiful outfits. There was a beautiful pink dress, again I couldn’t really see myself wearing it but it was A*.

I went through all the racks and saw these beautiful white denim embroidery mom jeans. I was in love! They were so cheap too! The size of the jeans was W30 and L30. I just really hoped that the jeans would fit me! I then noticed they had these silk shorts by Band of Gypsies on sale too! I was so shocked by this as they had practically just come out?

The shorts were originally £29, however, on sale they were £15! I got the shorts in white, they came in another colour which was a really light pastel pink.

Overall yesterday I just bought them two pieces of clothing. Joe bought a Kinect for his XBox, he didn’t want to come away empty handed.

My mum bought a new bag from Debenhams and some foundation for BareMinerals in Debenhams too.

For the way home, I bought me and Joe some doughnuts. I bought us two of the hazelnut Nutella rings, and a chocolate dreamcake doughnut too!

TRYING THEM ON!
