Okay, so this post has been well overdue for a while now. My parents got back from Thailand on Wednesday as I was working only 7am till 1pm. Thus I was rather excited to see them when I got home. They chilled out for a while as the got back as they had been travelling for like, two days.
My mum went straight to bed and my dad went for some breakfast, then when it came to 1pm he came and picked me up from work. It nice to see him after two weeks of being away. We got home and I got changed and said hello to my mum. She was so tired, bless her. Anyway I made them both a cup of tea and I bought a dozen Krispy Kreme Doughnuts from work too (yay for doughnuts 🍩)
Joe went home the day before as he didn’t want to intrude for when my parents got home, and I text him saying he could come over and see them and stay again. While doing this however, me and dad decided we’d go get our hair cut. Casually, we were at the hairdresser’s for around an hour maybe? My hairdresser is someone who I’ve known since I was in primary school as she is one of my friend’s mother.
After that, we got home, I ate another doughnut and waited for Joe to arrive. My mum and dad decided it was time to undo their cases and get out our gifts. I was quite excited by this as I had no idea what was in store for me. They got quite a range of gifts for family and friends etc. But, obviously I was more excited for what was for me.
They bought me a variety of things, from a green selfie stick which made me laugh so, so much. And to my surprise it actually worked. I was very skeptical about it to be honest, so me and Joe tried it and I was so happy that it worked!
I got more film for my instax camera, as I bought an Instax around February I believe. I bought the camera and 4 packs of film for £120? Can’t remember but it was a very good deal! I got it from Ebay! / Anyway they bought me just one more pack of film for 20 shots, and two frames for my pictures too. Which I thought was rather cute. *I still need to put some images in them.
Also, for my Instax I got a little book that keeps all the photos in! I desperately needed this to be honest. At the moment my pictures are in a ‘special’ box. It was just a blue box with a flowery pattern on. Every time I use my Instax my pictures go in there. Now, they can go in my little book that I can keep with me all the time!
As my dad is one for his gadgets he got me an adaptable lens for my phone camera. There’s macro, wide angle and fish eye. I was like umm… okay? I thought that this possible wouldn’t work and was a bit of a novelty item, however my dad used one himself and he showed me the pictures he got from it and I was surprised. Again, it worked. I think my favourite of these would be the fish eye. I cannot wait to try it out!
I also got a traditional dress, it is black goes to my mid-thigh? I think and there’s a beautiful gold piece in the centre of the chest. I preferred this to the others that my mother tried to show me. The others were beautiful, of course but I didn’t particularly think that red, would be suitable on me. Thus, I decided that the black one would be perfect. It was. I love it.
Then I also got a Kimono! I have wanted a Kimono for ages! Okay, so not a proper traditional Kimono, it’s just a wrap-around dressing gown type Kimono. However, I am looking for a traditional one! Wow, at the amount of times I just put Kimono…. Anyway, it’s black and red with floral patterns. Then as it’s inside out, you can change it to be all red, with a dragon on the back. I love it. It’s beautiful and soft. Like silk. It’s perfect. I love to wear it. 🎎👘
For Joe, they bought him a shirt / top that would go with my dress. Me and him thought that, that was so cute! His shirt is black and red, with traditional writing on it. On him it looks so adorable! He really likes it, which is a good thing. I mean he’s worn it a few times, but does that mean he really does like it?
Then the last things they got out for us were some foodie treats! To be honest, I’m surprised I got some as I did asked for this while they were in the airport coming home! But they got some treats for us to try. We got two packs of wafer type treats, and we got some treats like Poky and Mikado. These were cookies and cream! / The simple verdict is that both treats are really, really good. The wafers reminded me of that of a custard cream biscuit. The filling was the same kind of taste to me. It is a nice vanilla wafer with a milk cream. The cookie and cream stick was delicious. I really loved this. It was so creamy and like that of an oreo cookie. I also liked the packaging for these products. Very cute and simple. But for me the best was the Pejoy cookie and cream stick.
